For the last two year I was back studying textiles For the last two year I was back studying textiles. Never thought it will happen, but sometimes things just take an unexpected turn. So the time is here to invite you all to my MA graduation show! 2nd of June is the opening of the exhibition, 7pm at @ideas_block_kompresorine. And Kompresorinė is the most perfect place for this, because it is a special space with 7 metre tall ceiling and also - it is my place. During my studies I also restarted my cultural activities with this new space. Happy to see how things connect and come together. And my MA project in a way is also about that - how we all relate and affect one another in an interconnected Rhizome of ideas, actions and consequences of those actions. It is about our belonging to the natural network with its patterns and structures. It is about culture finding its place in nature. It has been 1.5 years since I started collective e It has been 1.5 years since I started collective embroidery project. Over 40 people took part in the process of "Networks of Nature" making. I feel like it was my companion moving from lonely covid times back into connecting with people, back to community. And it is so symbolic that it is presented in our first exhibition at Kompresorine, where our sociocultural organisation @ideas_block is reborn. Ideas block has always been about connecting and learning from one another, sharing and creating culture together. I believe this embroidery project filled a gap that was left after closing our previous place, and led me to a new start. I just wish to expande the time these days. It all I just wish to expande the time these days. It all goes to the new space and to my MA studies. But I am very happy to share with you all that our new @ideas_block place Kompresorinė (compressors room) is finally opening it's doors. We had our first event last Friday - exhibition Humans, non-humans, with and without humans opening. And my work is also part of this exhibition organised together with @altlab_ .
